IMPROVING SPEAKING AND WRITING ABILITY IN ENGLISH BY USING VERB PHRASE

Abstract
English language
is world language or can be called international language too, because
development era and more and more sophisticated of the technology in global era
right now. So, we need to study English . The profit we learn it is we can
communicate with native speakers and we can be friend with them and we can be
like a family too. In order we can application of English we need to practice with our friends
and our teacher too. And we can to make English as our language habitual
activity.
The title of our
job is “improving ability speaking and writing in English by using verb
phrases”, we make certain this title because we can easier in conversation use
English and we have to coached our self for writing something with good. The
profit not only for us as a university student are able to speaking and writing
English to explain some activity, but elementary school, junior high school and
senior high school too.
So, learn speaking
and writing in English by using verb phrases in order we can explain activity
we are going to do is right and clear. In improving ability speaking and
writing in English by using verb phrases very big profit for all circle, such
like from elementary school until the
university.

Content’s of Study
Speaking skills in English is a skill a person to convey passion
and thoughts to anyone through verbal, however, difficult to develop speaking
skills that are not trained continuously and be done with peers in the
classroom, the teacher-English teacher or other teachers who could speak
English. The aim is to facilitate conversation skills, enrich vocabulary usage,
repair the language, improve vocabulary words, sentences in English, and so
easy to train hearing the message of the speaker.
In some popular schools such as SMAN 1, SMAN 10 and SMPN 1 and 8 Padang, is implementing programs RSBI since
3 years ago, in which learners are required to master the English language,
especially in science learning. English is used as the language of instruction
for certain subjects. However, the party of teachers who teach in the schools
mentioned above there are those who convey the subject matter is bilingual
(Indonesian and English) aimed at gaining equal status with an international
school (School Based International).
The existence of such a situation, meant to motivate students to
study harder and comprehensive review of the English language both spoken and
written. The students should be able to express ideas, thoughts, etc., they
also must be able to answer questions and ask questions as well for the level
of student learning takes place. When fulfilling their discussion, the students
are required skilled express and defend opinions, the notion of other students,
or influence other students to follow the flow of conversation.
Writing skills can be measured by your English proficiency. Someone
who can write in English properly often have good English language skills as
well. In addition, the skill of writing is a very important skill to have.
Whether it's for younger students, while taking a test in school or for students
who are mature, when creating reports for business purposes.
Writing in English it seems difficult, but when you've mastered the
vocabulary and grammar point, you will find it written in the English language
is not as difficult as you think. Start by using phrases and simple grammar,
and then develop your writing skills with practice. In this process, it is
helpful if you do a lot of reading in English. If you are accustomed to reading
and thinking in English, then write in the English language will be easy for
you.
Verb phrase is a series of words cored verb. Normally verb phrase
is formed from the verb coupled with one or more auxiliary aids or words. Each
sentence in the English language support should have elements of verb, verb
form is to consist of one word and can also be more than one word, namely in
the form of verb phrase.
For example:
• Furqon drivers his motorsicle.
• Furqon has been writing books of Communication.
In phrase structure
grammars such as generative
grammar, the VP is a phrase that is headed by
a verb. A
verb phrase may be constructed from a single verb; often, however, the verb
phrase will consist of various combinations of the main verb and any auxiliary verbs,
plus optional specifiers, complements,
and adjuncts.
For example:
Yankee
batters hit the ball to win their first World Series since 2000.
Mary
saw the man through the window.
David
gave Mary a book.
The first example contains the verb phrase hit
the ball to win their first World Series since 2000. The second example
contains the main verb saw, the noun phrase
(NP) complement the man, and the prepositional
phrase (PP) adjunct through the window, which together
form the verb phrase. Additionally, the third example contains the main verb gave,
and two noun phrases Mary and a book, both selected by the verb
in this case. All three together form the verb phrase. Note that according to
this definition, the verb phrase corresponds to the predicate of
traditional grammar.
Verb
phrases can be input in all of kind of tenses and for example:

go to school everyday by motor.
She
doesn’t read that novel.

She
went to Central Lombok yesterday.
They
didn’t came to my house last night.

Feature tense
They
will come here next week.
We
shall marry this mounth.
